I know it is incredibly difficult for couples planning their wedding right now; many have shifted their plans a few times and some can no longer use their original venue due to the pandemic. I have a bride who recently asked me for private home, or smaller-sized venue recommendations since hers has shut down. I know many are in the same boat so I thought I’d share some I found recently that you may have not heard of! The fifteen privately owned properties below would be perfect for a elopement, micro-wedding or intimate celebration. Take a look below!

1. Lavender Marketplace

Sierra Madre, CA

I have been following this venue for what seems like forever. I recently visited it in person and it is just as whimsical and lovely in real life as it looks on Instagram.

2. The French Estate

3. The Spanish Estate

Woodland Hills, CA

4. Chateau Murrieta

Murrieta, CA

No website listed yet, but this venue looks so promising. With beautiful views of rolling hills and a French inspired home… this is exactly the kind of hidden gem I get excited about!!

5. Villa La Serena Temecula

Temecula, CA

An infinity pool? Um, YES! This beautiful private residence is listed on VRBO. It’s quite lovely, don’t you think?

6. Cottonwood Farms

Temecula, CA

7. Petlzer Winery

Temecula, CA

This family owned farm and winery is surrounded by rolling hills of vineyards.

 

8. Emerald Peak Venue

This is another family owned venue in Temecula!

 

9. Quail Haven Farm

Bonsall, CA

“Quail Haven Farm offers couples a gorgeous rural oasis to create their own wedding style and celebrate with friends and family.” This is another privately owned venue with beautiful grounds!

10. Chateau Le Blanc

Murrieta, CA

This is a bed and breakfast with room for intimate celebrations. Win-win!

This venue was introduced to me by a planner. I am obsessed! It’s absolutely stunning, can you imagine getting married here?

Temecula, CA
