I am so excited to share this romantic wedding with you all today; the ceremony was at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hollywood and reception at The York Manor in Los Angeles.

My heart is full of love and adoration for these two! Nicole and Jose first met in high school, Nicole was a freshman and Jose a sophomore… they lost touch but via the magic of Facebook, reconnected ten years later. They both love to travel and take road trips (hello insta-friends!); in fact, Jose proposed during their road trip to Paige, Arizona! They both care so much for their family and friends, and it really showed during their wedding celebration. Every detail (wonderfully executed by Harlow Planning) was purposeful and beautiful.

When I first spoke to Nicole, she described her dream day as a “modern romance” full of soft, delicate touches, and a bit of vibrant color. She felt drawn to the indoor and outdoor space at The York Manor, the abundance of natural light and white walls. I am so in love with how it all turned out!! It truly was a perfect wedding day! <3

They both got ready at the Embassy Suites in Glendale but did not see each other until the ceremony, Nicole wore a cathedral length veil with a blusher, the expression on her mom’s face as her dad removed the blusher is simply heartwarming…

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

Our favorite part of the planning process was, for the first time, making really big financial decisions together as a couple and learning to compromise on the must haves and the b-list. Ha.

Share how (or why) you chose The York Manor as your wedding venue:

My dream home will have a red door! Haha when we approached the venue and saw the beautiful red door it immediately felt like “our place”. We also love the bright natural light that shines in the indoor space and love the modern take on the vintage space. The lovely outdoor space was also a reason why we fell in love with the location.

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples?

Communicate. Make lists! An a, b , and c least describing what’s you most want at your wedding with the things you could do without.
