I am thrilled to share this engagement session today! I met these two in Palos Verdes, we had an amazing time exploring both the fields and the nearby beach. They are such sweethearts!

How did you meet?

Shar and I met on a trip to Israel through an organization called Birthright. After the second day we were attached at the hip!

What is your proposal story?

We went on a cruise with my family to Mexico. On formal night, on the 7th night of Hanukkah, he proposed in front of the menorah. He pulled the ring out of a dreidel and I was so shocked! I knew we were getting engaged soon, but had no idea it was going to be on the cruise.

Why did you choose your engagement location and what do you love about it?

I love the open fields and natural colors in the photos. It seems very light and airy which is exactly what I’m looking for. I wanted to beach as well because it’s such a beautiful environment I never want to take for granted (living in California) being able to see the ocean everyday!

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their engagement session? 

The most valuable piece of advice I have is to do your research! Having a wonderful photographer, as I do, is perfect for taking that extra weight off your shoulders because they know the best places to take photos! Then you know you’ll get beautiful photos no matter what!

What is your favorite thing about being engaged?

My favorite thing about being engaged is preparing for the next chapter of our lives together. It’s just one step closer to forever, to starting a family, and growing together as a couple in this next big step.
