I love traveling for sessions!! If we can manage to make a weekend trip out of it – we do!! Earlier this year my hubby and I went to Yosemite, and a few weeks ago, we traveled to Temecula. It was a fantastic weekend full of antique shopping, beer tasting and great meals! (If you are ever in Temecula, try “The Goat & Vine!”) We left Temecula and headed to Murrieta to meet Daisy & Rudy at Tres Lagos. Can’t imagine a better way to end a fantastic weekend!! These two are kind hearted, funny and so in LOVE!
Check out their love story below…
How did you meet?
Rudy and I knew each other since we were kids. We grew up in the same church but we just knew each other by name. So our love story began when Rudy approached me with a rose at In N Out while we were out with the youth group. I had no idea he was crushing on me. He began texting me more often and one day he asked me out to the Getty Villa. I said yes to the date but a week after the date he asked me to give him feedback as to what my thoughts were. I was honest with him and told him I did not see this going anywhere because I was not ready to date. After, I began observing him from afar for six months until I started regretting my decision. He seemed like an amazing guy! We would still go out in a youth group. So one day after hanging out with our youth group I decided to text him to see if he was still crushing on me. He answered me with all honesty. He said he did but he knew nothing was going to happen so he left it at that. I then told him if we could meet up because I wanted to speak with him. We met up at Starbucks the next day and I apologized for my previous behavior. I then told him I was now opened to date and if he still wanted to then we could give it another try. He looked very thoughtful. I thought he was going to turn the second opportunity down but he didn’t. Ever since, we have been falling more and more in love with each other and we are so excited to start out lives together.
Our engagement has been the most amazing day of my life so far. I am a nature lover and Niagara Falls is one of the 7 Natural Wonders. Getting proposed to there was amazing! We explored “Behind the Falls” after he proposed and it was the cherry on top to such a memorable day!
Why did you choose your engagement location and what do you love about it?
Rudy chose the engagement location because he wanted the day to be special. It all started when our group of friends decided to make a trip to Canada so we could explore the country. When he heard about the destination he said he immediately thought Niagara Falls would be the place he would propose to me.
What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their engagement session?
I would recommend they do a lot of research before choosing their engagement theme/location. We decided to do a canoe theme. We noticed it was unique because there weren’t many canoe engagement sessions. Well we came to find out why there are many of those sessions! Controlling a canoe is harder than we thought! We do not regret the experience, if anything we laugh at it now, but I do recommend to be prepared for a challenge.
My favorite thing about being engaged is that we get to actually plan for out future life together as opposed to just talking about it.
Congrats again Daisy and Rudy!! Can’t wait for your wedding day!!

Vanessa
