Emily reached out to me two weeks before her wedding date, yes, ya’ll – two weeks! Her photographer had an emergency and was no longer available.
Guys, this can happen to anyone – from a vendor stand point, I hoped the photographer was ok, and from a previous bride stand point, I felt for her! I’d be in such a panic!! But, from the start, Emily was so organized and such a pleasure to work with, I was seriously so happy she reached out…
September was our busiest month last year, in fact, we had a wedding scheduled the day prior to Emily’s. It was by pure chance that we were available for her wedding date and I feel very lucky to be the one that ended up documenting Emily and Andrew’s wedding day. This is by far, one of the most memorable weddings we have ever attended!! Not only was EVERY SINGLE person a dream to work with, to laugh alongside with, to joke with throughout the day – but it was also a day full of love, cheers and traditions. Their family and friends had us smiling all day and we could not be happier to have witnessed it all.
After the first look happened at the trendy Avenue of the Arts Hotel in Costa Mesa – we headed over to UC Irvine for portraits. Our hearts skipped a beat because Emily and Andrew’s fur babies showed up for some photos!! (In case you didn’t know, my second shooter, Claudia, and I love animals!!) We then headed over to the ceremony at St. Barbara Church before ending our journey at Mon Amour Banquet. Guys, this was an amazing celebration! Check it out below!
Just want it to be a fun time for family and friends. Andrew and I like to party and we’re making sure we create a party.
Nope. Church supplies the songs. Our first dance song will be “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding; no special meaning to it. I just liked it! 🙂
Don’t stress about the little things! It’s not worth it nor will you care about it after the wedding!
The whole thing! It was fun!
XO,
V
