Krystle and Alex arrived to the Griffith Observatory a bit nervous; but as we hiked further down the dirt road that lead to a spectacular view of the city, I could almost feel that nervousness drift away. We got to know one another, and as they shared a bit about themselves and their lives, they smiled with gratitude for what they had.
Love is special like that. Love makes it possible for someone to forget everything else and just be in the moment. Nervous feelings and uncertainty turn into excitement, laugher, fun and magic. Suddenly, everything just feels right…
Congrats Krystle and Alex! It was such a pleasure documenting your engagement session at the Griffith Observatory!!
“If I had a star for every time you brightened up my life, I’d be holding a galaxy.”
Words from the bride…
Alex and I have a mutual friend who planned and invited us on a two-week, three country, South American vacation. I met Alex and our friend at LAX and on the long flight to Rio de Janeiro, we hit off! We had our first few dates in some of the most incredible places in the world and by the time we got home we were crazy in love.
Alex proposed a year and a half later after a gorgeous sunset helicopter ride over LA.
For our engagement session we chose the Griffith Observatory. We used to hike here often and always loved the amazing views of LA!
The most valuable piece of advice I would give to other couples planning their engagement session is don’t sweat the small stuff! I spent so much time worrying about having the perfect dress and the perfect hair and make up. But when it was all said and done, the love you have for one and another and the great time you have in each other’s company is what comes through in the photos! Be yourselves and enjoy the moment. That’s what it’s all about!
